Avast, me hearties! After last year’s attempt to dock was thwarted by the stormy wrath of Mother Nature (curse you, Hurricane Helene!), Yachtoberfest is back—bigger, bolder, and with even smoother grooves.

On Saturday, September 27, 2024, from 3 PM to 10 PM, the Herron-Morton Place Park (1927 N. Alabama St., Indianapolis) will transform into a floating paradise of yacht rock rhythms, ice-cold craft beer, gourmet food trucks, and family-friendly festivity.

What Exactly is Yachtoberfest?

Yachtoberfest is Indianapolis’ most nautically nonsensical twist on Oktoberfest—where captain’s hats meet lederhosen and the only thing smoother than the beer is the soft rock soundtrack. Think Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, and Kenny Loggins—all cruising alongside bratwurst, pretzels, and pilsners. It’s the mellowest party on the high seas (well, high land—but don’t ruin the vibe).

Eat, Drink & Be Mellow

Craft beer and cider from local breweries served in style (if you’re one of the first 1,000 guests, congrats, you get a free mug!) Food trucks and stands will be on deck serving up a mix of classic Oktoberfest eats and festival faves. Non-alcoholic options will be available so everyone can set sail responsibly.

Little sailors are in for a treat! Totoberfest is a magical kids’ zone packed with crafts, games, and pint-sized adventure. While they explore, you get to enjoy your beer with two hands. Parenting win.
