False Idol Brewing – North Richland Hills, TX

Hoppy’s next Southwest stop was at False Idol Brewing. Their beers first hit the market in 2019, and they opened their doors in 2020. They state that their focus is on creativity, consistency and quality. The brewery won the 2025 Texas Craft Brewers Cup Brewery of the Year.

During Hoppy’s visit they were running a High Times Flight promotion, and he sampled two of those beers:

Chromatic Drift New England Pale Ale – Brewed with King Louis XIII terpenes. 5.2% ABV.

Phantom Frequency New England Double IPA – Brewed with Peach terpenes. 8% ABV.

He also enjoyed a glass of Life of an Outlaw West Coast DDH Double IPA – Brewed with Simcoe, Citra, Nectaron & Idaho 7 hops. 8.2% ABV.

MOONTOWN BREWING – NASHVILLE

Hoppy completed the hat trick by visiting his third location of Moontown Brewing last Saturday in Nashville. They opened this location in October of 2024. You may recognize it as the first, and former location of Big Woods (home of Quaff On! brews) which had opened there in 2009.

Hoppy enjoyed a Barrel-Aged Witstown – 14 Month (2025) during his visit. It is described as a Belgian Wit, clocking in at 8.7% ABV.
